1. With your right leg bent and your left leg straight, as in Half Butterfly Forward Bend, lengthen your fingertips to the sky as you inhale, then as you exhale fold sideways to your left. Press the back of your left elbow against the inside of your left knee and bring your right arm over your head to take hold of your left toes.

2. With every exhalation, aim to rotate your chest open to the sky by using the resistance between your left elbow and left knee to twist you deeper into the pose.

3. Release the pose by coming back to centre on an inhalation, before moving on to Half Butterfly Twist.
